p.The End of a Good Final Chapter

If the chapter is good, it is sad to end.
If the memories are strong, it will never fade.
If the chapter is really that good, why is there then a heaviness?

Let the sands of time be my guide, may my heart be as soft and willing to accept my station in life.

I cannot regret. Neither can I be allowed to remember.

A little poem to read (徐志摩):

再别康橋
Saying Goodbye to Cambridge Again

輕輕的我走了,
Lightly I leave,
正如我輕輕的來;
as lightly I came;
我輕輕的招手,
I lightly wave goodbye,
作別西天的雲彩。
to the sunlit clouds in the western sky.
那河畔的金柳,
The golden willows of that riverside,
是夕陽中的新娘;
are brides in the setting sun;
波光裡的艷影,
their glimmering reflections in the water,
在我的心頭蕩漾。
ripple in the depth of my heart.
軟泥上的青荇,
The waterlilies in the soft mud,
油油的在水底招搖;
sway splendidly under the water.
在康河的柔波裡,
In the gentle waves of the Cam,
我甘心做一條水草!
I would be a water plant!
那榆蔭下的一潭,
That pool in the shade of elm trees,
不是清泉,是天上虹;
is not springwater, but a heavenly rainbow;
揉碎在浮藻間,
crumbling amongst the floating grasses,
沉澱著彩虹似的夢。
the settling rainbow seems like a dream.
尋夢?撐一支長篙,
Looking for dreams? Push a punt,
向青草更青處漫溯;
to where the grass is greener still upstream;
滿載一船星輝,
a boat laden with starlight,
在星輝斑斕裡放歌。
singing freely in the glorious light of stars.
但我不能放歌,
But I cannot sing freely,
悄悄是別離的笙簫;
silence is the music of my departure,
夏蟲也為我沉默,
even the summer insects are quiet for me,
沉默是今晚的康橋!
tonight’s Cambridge is silent!
悄悄的我走了,
Quietly I leave,
正如我悄悄的來;
as quietly I came;
我揮一揮衣袖,
I cast my sleeves a little,
不帶走一片雲彩。
not taking even a strand of cloud away.

b.Why I Am Not A Politician?

This essay concludes once and for all all my thinking behind Why I am not a Politician?

In the same vibes of Why I Am Not A Christian by Bertrand Russell or Albert Einstein's quote of God and Einstein, I am fully aware of the political price one has to pay in order to be a strong leader or a lame cock-sucker.
Malaysia is successful in democracy is because Mr Anwar Ibrahim has paid a price of imprisonment and beating up, leading to a successful grabbing of some opposition power in 2008 General Election. This was closely followed by the death of an innocent man, Teoh Beng Hock in 2009. Opposition capitalized this poor fellow's body as their altar for ubah (change). By 2013 General Election, the opposition parties made great inroads into the chinese hearts. But, at the same time, Anwar has lost many of the Malays and aborigines' votes back to the ruling parties. The chinese' claim for greater power sharing has rocked the confidence of the Malays. Thus, pushing them once again back to the ruling parties' arms. The ruling parties embittered by the poor Chinese support has immediately started their purge of Chinese privileges. The price that Chinese in Malaysia has to pay is going to be extremely heavy. In fact, in many Chinese areas, day-light armed robberies into homes have gone up by a huge quantum. The sad stories for Chinese will follow ...

The Chinese in the zeal of wanting change has forgotten that "短人财路,如杀人父母".

A wise man once advised that I must always vote for the opposition rings true in my ears. (I have mentioned this once before. Well, another story for another time.)

In the Arab world, the Arab Spring for a revolutionary wave of nonviolent and violent demonstrations, violent and nonviolent protests, riots, and civil wars in the Arab world that began on 18 December 2010, started in Tunisia. Many dictators lost their shirts that time. Link:   wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_Spring

Tarek al-Tayeb Mohamed Bouazizi was a Tunisian street vendor who set himself on fire on 17 December 2010, in protest of the confiscation of his wares and the harassment and humiliation that he reported was inflicted on him by a municipal official and her aides.

Mohamed Bouazizi, who was known locally as "Basboosa". His father, a construction worker in Libya, died of a heart attack when Bouazizi was three, and his mother married Bouazizi's uncle some time later. Along with his six siblings, with his uncle in poor health and unable to work regularly, Bouazizi had worked various jobs since he was ten, and in his late teens he quit school in order to work full-time. Bouazizi lived in a modest stucco home, a 20-minute walk from the center of Sidi Bouzid, a rural town in Tunisia burdened by corruption and suffering an unemployment rate estimated at 30%. According to his mother, he applied to join the army, but was refused, and several subsequent job applications also resulted in rejection. He supported his mother, uncle, and younger siblings, including paying for one of his sisters to attend university, by earning approximately US$140 per month selling produce on the street in Sidi Bouzid. He was also working toward the goal of buying or renting a pickup truck for his work. A close friend of Bouazizi said he "was a very well-known and popular man [who] would give free fruit and vegetables to very poor families."

According to friends and family, local police officers had allegedly targeted and mistreated Bouazizi for years, including during his childhood, regularly confiscating his small wheelbarrow of produce; but Bouazizi had no other way to make a living, so he continued to work as a street vendor. Around 10 p.m. on 16 December 2010, he had contracted approximately US$200 in debt to buy the produce he was to sell the following day. On the morning of 17 December, he started his workday at 8 a.m. Just after 10:30 a.m., the police began harassing him again, ostensibly because he did not have a vendor's permit. However, while some sources state that street vending is illegal in Tunisia, and others that Bouazizi lacked a required permit to sell his wares, according to the head of Sidi Bouzid's state office for employment and independent work, no permit is needed to sell from a cart.

In any case Bouazizi did not have the funds to bribe police officials to allow his street vending to continue. Similarly, two of Bouazizi's siblings accused authorities of attempting to extort money from their brother, and during an interview with Reuters, one of his sisters stated, "What kind of repression do you imagine it takes for a young man to do this? A man who has to feed his family by buying goods on credit when they fine him...and take his goods. In Sidi Bouzid, those with no connections and no money for bribes are humiliated and insulted and not allowed to live."

Bouazizi's family claims he was publicly humiliated, that a 45-year-old female municipal official, Faida Hamdi, slapped him in the face, spat at him, confiscated his electronic weighing scales, and tossed aside his produce cart. It was also stated that she made a slur against his deceased father. Bouazizi's family says her gender made his humiliation worse.

Faida Hamdi and her brother claimed in interviews that she did not slap Bouazizi or otherwise mistreat him. An eyewitness referred to by Asharq Al-Awsat claimed not to have seen Hamdi slap Bouazizi.

Both Bouazizi's mother and the eyewitness who told Asharq Al-Awsat stated that her aides had kicked and beaten him after confiscating his fruit-cart, Faida Hamdi states it might have happened and Asharq Al-Awsat denies it happened.

Bouazizi, angered by the confrontation, ran to the governor's office to complain and to ask for his scales back. The governor refused to see or listen to him, even after Bouazizi was quoted as saying "If you don't see me, I'll burn myself." Bouazizi acquired a can of gasoline from a nearby gas station and returned to the governor's office. While standing in the middle of traffic, he shouted, "How do you expect me to make a living?" He then doused and set himself alight with a match at 11:30 a.m. local time, less than an hour after the altercation.

His act became a catalyst for the Tunisian Revolution and the wider Arab Spring, inciting demonstrations and riots throughout Tunisia in protest of social and political issues in the country. The public's anger and violence intensified following Bouazizi's death, leading then-President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali to step down on 14 January 2011, after 23 years in power.

The death of this one man led to the demise of many totalitarian states in the Arab world. Once again, as I have always quoted:
“What country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms ... The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. It is it’s natural manure.”   - Thomas Jefferson
Since I am unwilling to pay such a price, I can never be in politics. I will just travel the world in search of the best place to settle. If that place deteriorates in time, hey, I will move again. I am a wanderer, a warrior, a knight, but never a coward. I will leave silly words-mongering to the self-clever idiots who can't even dare to move away from their comfort zones.

In this time and space, a plane ticket is too cheap an alternative to politicking. Why fight a battle that I am already disadvantaged in the first place. That old guy is already 3rd-5th generations before my time. Let him build his . A real warrior has no fear of the unknown.

At times, it is a lonesome battle. It is nonetheless a fun path.

b.The Alignment of Aim

No matter how hard I try to work alone (my most preferred mode; or at most one other, i.e., my trusted partner-in-crime), I always ended up having to deal with more than one other person. They could be my co-workers, my colleagues, my sales teams, my more-distant partners and my "social" friends.

This is where the problem starts. None, absolutely none can be trusted. They are very cunning and crafty in actions and plans. Their aims (ambitions) are not aligned with mine in the first place. When aims are not aligned, no business will work.

This, of course, was taught to me by my partner-in-crime. I can't claim credit for this insight.

He is a self-made historian, hence, he is sensitive to subtle variations in the human nature. He said that a salesman based on commission does not have the same aim aligned. I was surprised by this statement. I said that based on commission and low basic, shouldn't that helps to align the salesman's aim towards that of the corporation. He said a big fat NO. No amount of commission will make the salesman's aim to be aligned to that of the corporation. Commission after a while is not longer attractive. Initially, his aim is reasonably aligned. But, once he knows the ropes, he will get lazy. He will plot to use his time for other "deals", because the corporation can't monitor his movements. He will then become an arm-chair salesman, i.e., he will just try to conclude sales by calling instead of personal visits. He will visit his customers instead of once a week, it will become once every month. He will try to maximise by pushing the customers to take more. This, in turn, will offend the customers greatly. First, the customers always have contention of limited shelf space. Second, customers, being the lowest life-form in their corporate hierarchy, love the power to dominate. Once the salesman is not there to be scolded or played. These customers instead of buying from me will go elsewhere where the other salesman is fun to be played. My sale goes down down down. When the sale not longer justifies the employment of the sales team, they will quit too, bringing along with them years of training and "potential deals". This was a very bad experience we had together. We have to sack the entire team and restart.

We are therefore left with 2 choices: one, change the salesman team full set once every 3 years or second, make the sales team(s)' aim to be aligned to ours.

It is the second option that I am keen to discuss:

(My partner-in-crime said that misalignment of aim happens all the time in every one we engage and stops short in suggesting any solution. He is however a keen observer.)
I will slowly build up the case that working for the corporation will bring forth riches that is far greater than he can ever hope. Introduce small bite-size investment projects that he can take on. Although we are keen business people and we don't need money, we need time. We need people's faithful time. Being a tiny investor in our next scheme of things. The salesman would be keen to get more. Little by little, he will become part of the core team. He becomes extremely self-motivated. He becomes an active contributor to our primary sales and any new business-types. In reality, he enjoys his new position as a junior partner of the team. His work becomes beautiful and he has learned to trust us. This is how we can align our aim. Honesty and honest sharing of wealth-creation as a combination of weapon-of-choice is so deadly.

I have recently encountered the same issue as stated above:

(1)   (positive) I have first put on loan a computer while I was away. The whites are relatively poor in comparison. When I finally called upon him to return the computer. He gladly obliged. In exchange, he started to offer small little favours to keep the friendship going. So by aligning his aim to me by providing a simple resource in need, he opened up immensely. He could actually still use his older computer. This is actually a good way to start.

(2)   (positive) I have first volunteered to put on loan a small sum of money. Again, the whites are relatively poor. I didn't asked for it to be returned. He then volunteered to offset the sum by working for me as a budget builder.

(3)   (negative) I have first put on food treats to a chineseman in another island. He responded well to my treats. But, when I needed a small non-monetary favour in return, he refused. I dropped him like a rock. He tried to win me back. But, it was too late. It is better that I cut my friendship treat loss now than to find a deeper loss later in business dealings.

My partner-in-crime is indeed wise.

b.Putting My Nose Back to the Grindstone

Every person is protective of their ambition. In another words, they are selfishly watching me fall.

Therefore, every step I take must be well considered and never reveal that all along I had never depended on any one of them for the successful implementation of my ultimate plan. For those whom I trusted, they do know that in my ultimate plan, they would be given a role, not only a good role but a role that represents our true friendship. If you are my true friend, then there is not ever a question at all.

True friendship should never be spoken about, but felt.

Today marks the first step towards another business-type.

I already had firm pre-orders, it is now time to implement the plan. Due to the intricate nature of the plan, some suggested that I borrow some strength from existing suppliers.

This is laughable.

The very reason why I can get these firm pre-orders even before I get my act together is because they trust that I will not take any short-cut for my fulfillment. I would be fully responsible for the final quality of the delivery, hence, their reputation is well-guarded against poor observance of their job.

But, the distractors said, if I am not careful, it might take up to 3 years to reach my delivery point. The investment amount is too great for any one to bear. LOL. Such skepticism.

I have done so much ground work that I believe I should be a-ok. Even if I miss these pre-orders, I am sure my friends who gave me these pre-orders understand my earnestness. The pre-orders might just return as planned.

Can I therefore wait so long? The plan may have a long gestation period, which I believe not, I am willing to pay that price.

Good thing must come slowly. Any rush will spoil its value and ultimate enjoyment. The higher the barrier of entry, the safer is the business-type.

p.仆街 , 冚家鏟! 屌你老母! 冚家富貴!

仆街 , 冚家鏟! Finally got it off my chest. That asshole little island was so fucken. I was treated with the utmost disrespect. Since that little island treated me so bad, honestly why should I care about its inhabitants, except for those loved ones still stuck.

I was supposed to be given 2 x luggage weight of 23 kg and a hand luggage of 7 kg for check-in. I was dead early and I checked-in my 2 x luggages at less 23 kg each. That zero-smile fucken asshole fillipina foreign trash got the cheek to ask me to weigh my hand luggage. It was found to be 9 kg flat. She said I was over-limit. I must lighten before I fly. I was stupid enough to comply.

屌你老母! Later I found that all the angmo tua kee. They each got 20 kg hand luggage in tow. They all went through the same fucken check-in gal.

冚家富貴! This is what foreign trash has done to that little fucken island. May God be nice and bless it with more of such trash.

Enough of such trashy shit.

Youtube:   anwar's rally after the 5 May 2013 election results

My utmost respect for a nice man - Mr Anwar Ibrahim.

He once said, "I was DPM before and I enjoyed being at the top of the world. I went to hell when I was jailed, stripped naked, beaten up and ate my meals on the ground. What else can I not have done." (paraphased)

I believed him. He is an enlightened man.

May he and his daughter be the stars that shine upon the Malaysians when darkness falls.

Conclusion:

As a business person, I must admit this is already the best 5 May 2013 election result Malaysia can hope to achieve. Anything else, blood will splash. This is unfortunately after all the great tree of freedom - it takes no other type of nourishment.

Before I go and put my nose back to the grindstone, let me enjoy the last few days of Malaysian politics. They have shown to be super mature and super nice. Everyone is so involved that they make little rockets and ubah birds. I have attended a few rallies that I am so ashamed of not being a citizen there and yet so passionately involved. They shouted "5月5" and I shouted back "换政府"; then they shouted "5月6" and I shouted back "政府", as I slurped my favourite drink and proudly wearing my ubah tee. LOL. Maybe I should apply to be a PR right after this.

On this coming May 5 2013, may the best person win based on honesty and will to serve the Rakyat (People).

An ubah birdie once told me:

Another ubah birdie also said:

p.Ubah - The Rally

Last night's rally at Sutera Mall with Lim Kit Siang wetted my eyes.

Having a voice is so important. Finding that voice unfortunately was not easy.

How many of us have to skip town so that we can find a new beginning for ourself and family. This is hardly a pleasurable thing to do.

The amount of festivities the rally has brought. The amount of togetherness the rally has brought is indeed priceless. Malaysia has finally arrived. Come May 05, no matter who wins the leadership. It would be a big leap of democracy for the lovely people of Malaysia.

When I talked to the BN supporters, they are fantastic. When I talked to the PR supporters, they are priceless. So much trust and so much zeal. I guess there is surely no true right and wrong. But, in a shade of grey. Hopefully, behind every ambition, there would be a true will to lead with integrity.

Malaysians are so fortunate. They can have a choice and hence, a voice. Malaysia boleh!

I thank you for leading by example.

b.The Hope in Stupidity

I have always wanted to write this post for the longest of time.

Now is a good time.

I have asked a colleague to source for a suitable vendor.

She began sourcing. As usual she hit road blocks all the way. Some of the quotations she got was so ridiculous, we seriously either doubt her communications skills in handling the task at hand or the vendors were too fat and complacent that they don't need any more new business. She showed no sign of despair and gave a very dry smile whenever we question her about the progress of the ongoing task during board meetings.

Three months later, she found 2 really suitable vendors of reasonable costings and the process was smooth henceforth.

Deep down I knew that she was sad and unhappy with herself. She didn't seem to blame us for giving her no morale support. This I must apologise for our insensitivity. We should have been a lot more supportive of her hard work and industry.

This is truly a very fine example of stupidity won us all. Indeed we have disrespected her. Her wit in fact is beyond the normal range.

In another instance, I have asked another colleague to source for property for purchase.

She found property after property ceaselessly for 3 solid months too. Some of the properties she listed were so interesting that even I have to reach my deepest pockets to get the cash so that I don't miss out on the opportunities.

During her search, she was ridiculed to the maximum by people around her as unrealistic and impossible. She has nothing but a pure grit of her teeth. Not an easy thing to do. Finally, even estate agents took their hats off to her when she mentioned the deals she has put together. It only showed her extreme dedication to the task at hand. Although she has zero training in real estate sourcing, she has unusual zeal in pursuing her task.

This is another super nice example of stupidity won us all.

Conclusion

There is no such thing as a newbie to the task. As long as one is willing to learn and humble to his/her assigned task, with perseverance, there is no task too difficult to fulfill. There is always hope for stupidity. In fact, the final laugh belongs to the humble and hard worker. 若非一番寒澈骨 那得梅花撲鼻香

b.Bank Lelong (Auction)

[USD1 = RM3.04, today's rate]

I have the privilege to learn about Malaysia's Bank Lelong (open auction) system over the whole of last week.

It was quite an eye-opener.

In bank lelong, the property is first launched at market value minus 10%. If there are no takers, the next lelong is at 3 months' time marked at last auction price minus 10%. This will go on until the property is sold. Some property lelong can go on for years.

Every malaysian new to property investment can buy one low-cost housing and limited to one. If he/she needs more, he/she needs to apply for permission. Usually, subsequent property purchase cannot be low-cost housing.

Due to limited space, I shall focus on low-cost housing first. When I get to normal property investment, I will then go into its details.

Low-cost Housing

Condition -   The condition of some of these low-cost houses on lelong are so bad that no one is willing to bid for them.
Roof -   The roof is normally goner. So a brand new roof is needed.

Purchasers -   Interestingly, there are 2 groups of low-cost housing purchasers - investors and normal first-time buyers.

Well ... Malaysia always boleh ...

Some of these investors can buy up to tens of such low-cost properties. I wonder how? But, the amount of money to be put up to improve the house is normally quite prohibitive. So even investors are also extremely cautious about buying the next one.

As for individual first-timers, they wouldn't dare to try as they usually don't have the cash to renovate the house after buying.

Rent -   For properties that are on the bank lelong for a while, they are normally not rentable, even if the condition of the house is tip-top. It is only good for owner occupation.

Location -   Location is everything. Many such lelong properties are in very good location. But, its current condition puts many people off.

Price -    Some of the prices can go as low as RM16 psf in very good location (much better than Penang). While their neighbours are still try to get RM130 psf with good or reasonable house condition. Even some normal properties are going at RM7.5 psf in not too bad location.

Penang's chief minister has just sold a 105-acres land for RM240 psf. So since these properties are much better located than Penang's properties, it can't really go very wrong.

Normal sub-sale prices are marked at market value plus 33%.

Title -   The title is good as it is the high court that allows such auctions to be carried out by the bank. Freehold.

Transaction -  Normally full cash position is the safest. It takes 10% and 90% three months later. Bank forbids such financing as they fear the next purchaser of such ill-repute purchase.

Advice -   Even my datuk partner advised me against such purchases.

Contradiction -   Why then if the property is in good location, then it should rightfully be rentable. Although some of these properties are in very good location, its neighbourhood is still in general state of disrepair, hence causes the said property to be quite unwelcoming to the renting community. One has to wait for a while for these other properties in the neighbourhood to be in better shape, before the rental demand goes up. Therefore, property investment is never for the faint-hearted, but deep pockets.

Saleable -   If the property is not rentable, usually it will not fetch a good price. One has to wait.

Utility -   It is usual for such property to engage in some form of industry.

Conclusion

Don't let the physical look of the property deceives you. It has deceived even the best investors. See value where no one can appreciate. Don't be the herd but be the leader. Dare where no one dares. Even if it is a total loss. It is only RM16 psf for a very small piece of landed freehold property, i.e., 1k land = RM16k, 2k land = RM32k, 3k land = RM48k, 5k land = RM60k, 10k land = RM160k. What more if it is only RM7.5 psf?

p.UBAH - The Change

Went to Sarawak there and back.

Bought this tee and wore it through the streets and customs. Then, read the news that a guy was caught wearing such a tee while driving a car registered for that little island. He was released only after he was established as a not-that-little-island-dweller. If he were to be that-little-island-dweller, he would be jailed for interfering with domestic politics of another land. Membership with that-little-island is indeed a curse.

Luckily, I was not caught.

I will now wear this tee during sleep and in white land.

A guy from another land once told me that he will always be voting for the opposition. I questioned him why?

He said power always corrupts. After a few years in power, one would be tempted to corrupt to his very core. It is therefore good to UBAH (change) all the time so as to minimise pain to the ordinary folks. He and his family were wise beyond their years.

Change is indeed the only permanent ingredient to success in business.

My partner and I have instituted change permanently in our product life-cycle. Every time we reproduce a new order of the same product range. We always incorporate some improvements and changes into the products. Interestingly, our customers love the new products so much that, they overhaul their entire wardrobe to accommodate our newly "improved" products.

Effectively, our products have taken on the new mode of sale - subscription. So instead of trying out other competitive products, our customers look eagerly forward to our new revamped products for their fixes.

The  incorporated change is minimal, but it works fine with our customers. Our customers are willing to "invest" in our latest range even though they are not too much different from our older range. They use our products for trade. We have finally become willing partners to the trade. Our products have integrated with our customers in one seamless weapon-of-choice.

Our sales has again improved further this year. With additional play budget, we now will invest more towards magazine advertising and other feel-good-gadgets.

Some wrong samples in time:

iPhone 5 (USA) has no more improvements after Steve Job has moved on. Apple stopped to become the largest company on earth.

Nokia (Finland) has fallen from the top dog position after failing to play less golf and have more product improvement meetings.

Sony (Japan) is becoming more and more dull with no more new product launches.

Some good samples in time:

Samsung (SKorea) is very strong now with new product launches every other month. but, they have to be careful, their newer product lines such as camera-on-the-go are getting off-the-beaten-track.

Asus (Taiwan) has beaten Msi (Taiwan) in the notebook business. They are becoming interestingly strong. Very sexy.

p.The Need for Loneliness

I have mentioned earlier: To be a leader of man is a pure waste of time. There is no value in investing time in man. Men are not motivated. They are just opportunists. They are hunters by nature. They hunt all the time. They are not cooperative. They seek destruction and they seek selfish and lone gratifications.

For years I have advocated cooperative hunting. But, I failed miserably. I simply don't understand why I have failed in such a clear-cut concept. By cooperating, the benefits to all who participate are abundant. So easy, follow the Lanchester's Laws -

"Lanchester's laws are mathematical formulae for calculating the relative strengths of a predator/prey pair. This article is concerned with military forces."

"The Lanchester equations are differential equations describing the time dependence of two armies' strengths A and B as a function of time, with the function depending only on A and B."

"In 1916, during World War I, Frederick Lanchester devised a series of differential equations to demonstrate the power relationships between opposing forces. Among these are what is known as Lanchester's Linear Law (for ancient combat) and Lanchester's Square Law (for modern combat with long-range weapons such as firearms)."

"With firearms engaging each other directly with aimed shooting from a distance, they can attack multiple targets and can receive fire from multiple directions. The rate of attrition now depends only on the number of weapons shooting. Lanchester determined that the power of such a force is proportional not to the number of units it has, but to the square of the number of units. This is known as Lanchester's Square Law."

It simply means for a force of just two cooperatives, the force-multiplier would have been 2x2=4 individuals, i.e., a force of just two cooperatives has the capability of handling 4 individuals at parity.

Extending the concept further, for a force of three cooperatives, the force-multiplier would have been 3x3=9 individuals, i.e., a force of three cooperatives has the capability of handling 9 individuals at parity.

This concept of cooperation is simply too marvellous, but, sadly no one appreciates.

So leave the idea of leading man. They are fucking waste of time.

How about leading women?

Unfortunate for women is that they are not creative. They have almost zero creativity. They are however great followers, i.e., in short, they are great managers of rules. Give them a rule, they will follow to the letter T. But, that makes them poor sales people. Although they are great accounts managers, they are poor at knocking a creative win-win package together. They lack directions when there are none to start with.

The other bad point I already have highlighted before is they always like to jump the business owner all the time. They simply don't understand why the business owner is always so unwilling to jump them even if the hints are so obvious.

They simply don't get it or merely trying their luck all the time. I believe they know that there is a limit to how many a business owner can manage at any one time. Being a business owner, obviously he has choices. Choices beyond his wildest dream, so he automatically becomes choosy and still can play hard-to-get. This situation drives the gals even more eager to please. Sigh ... How I wish I have more capacity.

Back to the topic:   The Need for Loneliness

Because men fail us and women are next to zeros. We will be most of the time lonely. So instead of fighting it, might as well welcome loneliness as a friend. At a start, loneliness is a nasty little fellow. It gives pain. It gives anxiety. It drives confidence to the ground. It creates doubt in our scheme of things.

Ignore each and every one of these pains. Slowly loneliness becomes a true friend. In fact, sometimes I am sick and tired of attention that I crave for loneliness to return.

Interestingly, from time to time, it will return. During these times, it will create another round of loss of confidence. But, fear not, it will build more character into the person and drive businesses to the next level.

Today, I feel lonely again, but, I have arrived at 1.5% of my target. They are currently armies waiting for my deployment. Once deployed, they in turn will become force-multipliers on my behalf. Is there a hurry? NO. The white land will have another 15 years of pain. I can afford to take my time.

What if I am wrong? Well, with 1.5%, I have already outperformed my wildest dream. But, I am not happy as I am still too young to retire. Let me play the game further and report back.

My hope is to hit 3.0% in five years' time. By then, I would even be more lonely.

p.I am so xenophobic

Was waiting for my favourite food to be ready at my favourite hawker food centre, so that I can collect it when it is ready. These hawkers no longer gave any services.

Just then, a loud voice singing hokkien songs. The voice came closer and closer. It was a guy with only one leg left on a wheel chair trying his luck at singing his way to some money. He was quite young about 50s. So donation? No way.

But I was impressed with his hokkien-nese. The song was my childhood melody. So I decided to test him. I asked him whether he is a sinkie of that little island. He greeted me, M'dam. Fuck. So donation? No, no way. He said he is still a sinkie and he showed me his begging license and claimed that the fuckers only issued them if they were originally from that little island.

Finally, giving? Checked.

So I gave him a big fat note. He just said a simple thank you, brother. I smiled. He understood me.

A bowl of hot spicy fish porridge suddenly appeared on my table. The old man hawker served me with a big smile.

I felt so xenophobic. Maybe it's harvest time soon for that little island. Good Luck then! Brothers and sisters.

b.Passion business I - The Way

The first part is here:   b.Passion business I - Blueberry Wine (as a)

The Way is like magic.

Many times when there seemed to be no way out. No possibility of success. No chance to turn things round.

There exists always a wayThe Way of the Heart.

Do not despair as there is always a way.

Continue that passion for you have no other choice.

Grit that teeth and bite that bullet.

The Way will show itself. No matter how desperate you are, be patient, the Way will show you how.

It is easy for man to be tempted by quick success. Do not take the shortest route to success. Take instead the longest road. Enjoy the slow process to success.

When I first conceive the mango wine many years ago. It was laughable as there was no way I can get a winery license from those scumbags. The project has to be a stealthy one. The moment the project is exposed. That little island's defence will spring to work, they will rob me of my hard work.

I moved the project from country to country.

I tried many formulations but none of them succeeded. Each formulation took me 6 months to confirm its outcome. After so many years, finally instead I found solace in the pineapple wine. It was amazing how things have finally come to head.

The pineapple wine was astounding. The taste was fantastic. It has the potential of leading its own admirers.

Now I am able to procure a winery license too.

Why you ask?

I am a believer of hard work. I am a believer of building a good name. I am a believer of respect. I am a believer of goodness always comes from bitterness. I am a believer of trust of man.

Be extremely honest, you will bring out the best of man. For none of these men will try their trickery on you. They dare not. You are like a bright mirror, for they dare not show their stark ugliness as they despise their own sneaky character way more than your honest stupidity. Let them pretend that they are honest and good, for you have nothing to lose.

Mr Feed Me To the Fish,

May I here offer my humble respect for your passing on. You have done a honourable thing for standing up for those people on that little island. My deepest Respect. I am too weak to even bother. That one day will come when I finally join you, may I too have no regrets like you. Enjoy your freedom from now onwards, for there is none that can hold you back anymore.

May all those that you left behind be healthy and great too like you ...

b.The methodology of Squeeze

Pre-requisite

Cash is King!

At the beginning of business, all suppliers will not trust you. You are required to deal in cash in advance for your goods and services. You have no choice but to comply. After a while, once you are more stable, these same suppliers will try to offer you credit terms. DON'T TAKE IT. It takes great wisdom to not take that evil bait.

Once you are offered terms, slowly but surely, you will be addicted to that credits (Really not very different from credit card companies). Once you show signs of not paying, these very same suppliers will stop their supplies and services. You would be left high and dry, and unless you pay up, you will not get your next supplies for continuance of business. They even will threaten legal action if no payment is received by a certain date.

So stay clear of taking any credits.

But, I love that machine or that ERP software that will help me to minimize effort and maximize profit. Banks are willing to lend me the money to own it straight away. No such thing! You can still make money from existing machines which you have paid cash for. Your customer services are still tip-top with personal touch and no bull-shit like ERP software. These softwares are meant only as a show-off to others. It will help no one. I have friends who have installed ERP systems and took them more than 2 years to configure. Later, EVERY ONE threw their softwares away and started yaking on their phones to try to win back their customers. These ERP softwares almost killed their sales systems.

If you can't pay cash for it, it simply means you are not yet ready for that man-toy nor are you ready to expand.

Stay cash terms.

The Squeeze

Once the supplier starts to offer credit terms, it is time to apply that squeeze. It means that your cash payments have proven your credit-worthiness. You are an important account to them. They need your business volume and your monthly business volume is a percentage to their turn-over.

Get your secretary to look for another supplier for the same goods and services. Quote the new one the business volume you are doing with this current supplier and the cash term. Since it is a percentage of sale for the current supplier, it will also be more or less a percentage of sale for the next supplier. Ask the new supplier to better that number (about 5%-10% lower). If the new supplier agrees, cut over 80% of the sale volume. You should be more than welcomed for the new supplier as your cash terms are too valuable for the new supplier. Most clients of theirs are now on credit and not paying well when times are bad (most times are bad for businesses).

The old supplier will ask after a few months why is your business volume so low? Your answer should be: The price quoted by them are no longer competitive and you are in a bad shape. You can't hack the high supply cost. Further you have a partner and he has found a friend to help in this. He has helped by lowering our total supply costs.

The old supplier will ask for a return of business as he is now addicted to your cash terms. It is like an ATM to their business, as they need immediate cash to pay for their installments, employees and rentals. You ask for a further 10%-15% discount from his rates. he will most likely comply as you have proven to be able to walk away.

Transfer back the 80% of sale to him and give the remaining 20% to the new supplier.

Learn to hunger them. Alternate your purchases with them.

Wait for a while and repeat the process. If necessary, find a third supplier.

When do you stop?

You should stop at 10%-20% above raw material costs. How do you know? Well, that's what big businesses like Macdonalds, Apple and Samsung are paying their OEM contractors.

The raw material prices can be gotten from simple phone calls and internet researches or simply ask friends.

For every squeeze, try to return some of these savings to the consumers. They are your ultimate food providers. They will assist you to protect your market share by accepting that you are indeed the best value for money.

Conclusion

Business games are not about being fair. There is no fairness. The big boys will always eat the small ones for food and to stay alive. This is the exacting law of the jungle. Please show no mercy. The others will not show you any either, but to constantly plot your demise.

Should you therefore show mercy to your suppliers? NO. They too are accepting gifts from your enemies to see your demise.

As one wise man said, "There are no permanent enemies, only permanent interest."

CASH is your only weapon in winning these cut-throat business wars.

If you deal in cash only, you will be the only one that can effectively play the field.

b.Price versus Volume Generation

Today marks another beautiful day.

It is so very interesting!!!

My business partner had a very long discussion with me and we discovered that:

Most businesses derive profits from selling volume. To do that, the business will cut price so that they can have a larger business volume. Multiply that by its selling price, the total sale value or volume leadership is always an envy of most other businesses.

But, operating at such low selling price of razor-thin margin, the business lacks the ability to perform research & product development. Sooner or later, general financial crisis will hit the business. The business being poor in product and quality improvement will soon be driven out.

That explained why 3 key and sizable competitors of ours folded this year.

Volume leaders are never the answer to business building.

Ever since we change our business model to price leadership. Our business has grown from strength to strength.

Part 1:   The bigger margin allows us to do research & development of our products. We now achieve better penetration. We are selling much more than before. Instead of producing more per year, we resisted that urge and produced the same amount the following year. We raised price further hoping that the sale volume is just right again instead of increasing year-on-year.

We will continue to increase price until we sell only the amount we have always been selling.

Part 2:   As for those products that we sell less than targeted volume, we increase the quality further in terms of packaging and content, but retain the old selling price. Some time later, we will again achieve the target. Further improvement in products will again grow the sale volume. the mechanism from part 1 is again deployed.

Caveat Emptor:   Product development must be continuous and budget planned for every year.

Sale Volume:   The desired optimal sale volume per product is derived by trial-and-error.

Not many businesses can see through the issue of volume and price leaders effectively. They are always blinded by immediate cash flows and urgent market share issues. Many businesses thought that by selling more and more and the sale volume going higher and higher is the only way to grow. I can emphatically say that they have been mistaken and misled by the market. They will go broke in no time. They will lack funds to build quality products. They will lack funds to weather financial crisis. They will lack business depth to understand market competitors.

This enlightenment is hard to come by. It is derived from years of painful evaluation of many of our competitors.

Business leadership can only be achieved through continuously improving quality, not by lowering price.

g.Story - The Challenge of Trust

Not my Story:

I would just like to take this opportunity to share with all the married men here about my own life and hope that they can learn from my own misfortune.

I married my gf when I was 26. She was a typical average looking and conservative gal. We didn’t have any premarital sex and intimacy was confined to just kissing and hugging. I was looking forward to my new life and eagerly waiting for our first love making session. I was terribly disappointed. There was hardly any foreplay and we only did it in missionary. It was all over in 5 mins and the only BJ I got was she blowing a good night kiss to me. I accepted that and thought maybe she was tired. However, to my disappointment, things never improved.

For the next 5 years, sex was the same. Strip, kiss, missionary and sleep. Despite everything I did to persuade her to improve on our sex life, the answer was the same negative one. All this while, I pampered her with love, care, concern and luxury. I was 100% faithful and didn’t even hang out with friends. I admitted I was also very busy with work as I struggled to earn more to give her a better life but I was always around at night even though it might be past 11pm and weekends were thoroughly free to spend with her. However, despite doing all these, I never could change her. She would still be conservative in both her dressing and in our activity in bed. In fact, she wouldn’t even buy any nighties to wear at home, no matter how hard I tried to coax her.

I even bought a small car for her own use on our fourth wedding anniversary which made her happy but when I presented her the second gift, a simple nightie, she refused to wear it and threw it away a few weeks later. I was very much in love with her and continued to accept all these without once fooling outside. I was committed to my marriage and I told myself that if I love her, I need to accept all the good and bad of her.

Things started to change after 5 years of marriage. She started to buy clothing that was sexier like low cut dresses or camisole. She even started buying nightie, which she put on when we had sex. I was happy and thought that she had finally relented and was now trying to make me happy. Sex was still the same and BJ was still in non-existence but I was contended. I convince myself that over time, she would become more adventurous. However, things didn’t improve over the next 3 years.

Everything was the same. I became frustrated again but I told myself to be patient if I love her. Everything went about as usual until one day; I went home in the afternoon to have a change of clothing as the one I was wearing was dirtied. As I was looking for a new shirt to wear, I suddenly realized that one of her nightie was missing from the wardrobe.

I normally didn’t pay much attention to such things but somehow, that day, something just triggered me. I went about to the washing area and confirm it was neither been washed nor in the dirty laundry. Even then, I didn’t suspect a single thing. I even told myself that maybe she had wore it under her clothing to work and told myself for being silly. I forgot about the whole thing until I went home that night. It was late and she was already sleeping. I changed into my tees and shorts after my bath and brought my clothing out to the laundry basket. Just out of curiosity, I searched the basket for the missing nightie and didn’t see it. It was also not hung out to dry and I was feeling a bit uneasy.

Quietly, I went back to our bedroom and open the wardrobe. I found that nightie hanging inside. I took it out and went into the bathroom. I could see it was fairly crumbled, showing signs that it has been worn and there was her distinct perfume smell on it. My mind began to wonder. It was cleared it had been worn by her today so why didn’t she throw it for washing? I put everything back in place and went to bed. However, I could not sleep. I kept searching for a logical reason but I couldn’t find any.

Suddenly, I began to feel suspicious. Was she seeing someone else? I started to recall past suspicious incidents that I have brushed off previously and the more I thought of it, the more I felt uncomfortable. I couldn’t sleep that night and had problems focusing on my work over the next 2 weeks. While there were obvious tell tale signs, they weren’t conclusive. I also couldn’t bring myself to believe my conservative wife would have an affair.

I started to pay more attention to her habits and behaviour and I started to see a trend. I found that every one or two days in a week, she would wear something more sexy to work and usually, she would only return home after 9pm, giving various excuses that she was either working late or met up with friends for dinner.

Another pattern that I discovered was that each time any nightie goes missing from the wardrobe, I will find it hanging back in the night and she would definitely wear that when we had sex either the next night or the following night. I also realize that she was always on her laptop on nights that she didn’t go out and would spend like an hour or so on it.

On Saturdays when I play golf with clients in Singapore, she would say she needed to go back to work but never when I was playing golf in Johor. Another suspicion was that she would always call me when I am playing golf in Johor to ask was the game and what time I was going to finish, once or twice each time but never when I was playing golf in Singapore.

Finally, after 3 agonizing months, I hired a PI and 2 weeks later, I was shown evidence beyond a doubt that she was seeing some other man. I also found out that when I played golf in Johor on Saturday, that man came over to our house to stay for about an hour. I was furious by now but I wanted to know more. I wanted to know what they did behind closed doors and how long it had been going on.

I managed to install a key logger software on to her laptop and finally got access into it. I searched through her laptop and my entire world collapsed when I saw what I found. There were huge log file of her conversation on irc with that guy. There were also countless emails between them. Reading them, I realize they have been fucking behind my back for almost 3 years and have done almost every imaginable sexual act known.

In it, they describe how much they enjoyed the fuck sessions when they did in various positions, not forgetting how she BJ him and let him CIM and swallowing his semen. They even had anal sex. That guy even wrote stuff like how turned on he was when she told him that she had kissed me when she returned home after she had just swallowed his cum earlier on. He even said he get’s super turned on when he fuck her while she wears one of the nightie as he knows she will wear it the next day with me but that I was having second hand goods.

There were even nude pictures and video of them in her laptop and I couldn’t bring myself to watch them in detail. I couldn’t believe it was happening. I confronted her with all the evidence and she admitted it. She even told me that it was good I found out as she didn’t want to hide it anymore and we eventually divorced.

It’s been 8 years since I divorced and it took me one whole year to recover from my shock as drown myself in sorrow, turning to drinking and losing my job. I finally woke up and started my own business and have been successful since.

5 years ago, I started becoming an MILF guy. To date, I have lost count of the number of married women I have fucked. I am not trying to gloat about my “conquest”. I just wanted all married men here to know, don’t be too confident with your trust of your wife. Among the MILFs that I have had, they come from all walks of life, age and looks. Many of them are typical women that hardly anyone would expect them to fuck behind their husband’s back but they did. Lastly, don’t be a fucking cuckold like I was just because you think your wife don’t have a high sex drive or don’t enjoy sex. It might just be that she doesn’t enjoy it with you but is letting another guy fuck her brains out behind your back, just like what happened to me and like what I am doing now. No offense to anyone.

This is a classic case of a beta male turning alpha. Everyone of us are capable of an alpha task, we just need to summon that beast within us.

The storyteller later went on to say:

We did bump into each other a few years later and even sat down to have coffee. That was how I knew that the guy dumped her. We didn't exchange numbers and haven't been in contact again since that one time.

I don't hate her anymore. I pity her. She could have been a rich tai tai leading a good life. Guess she choose the wrong man in the end.

So if you are a gal, be nice to that one man in your life, enjoy your sex with him. He will one day reward you for your faithfulness. If you are a guy, don't waste a single effort in looking for that one pussy, there are millions in the bush. Just build that fucking business empire. Need I say more?

As for the storyteller, his karma will hit him soon as he will soon find out that he can find no true love. To bed hundred of pussies, he must be heartless. Gals dig heartless guys. But since the guy steeled his heart from emotional investment, he will feel no pain, that is how he appears unfazed by the gal's beauty. Gals love cool cucumbers. At the end, the guy will get to screw the gals easily but he will never be satisfied as he showed no emotions even in sex. The storyteller will soon find out that he is not longer capable of loving, as he is suspicious of every single gal that he encounters. A sad way to end it all. This is the price he needs to pay for screwing indiscriminately.

In order to enjoy a relationship, one must invest feelings. But, once feelings are involved, the gals will know exactly how to unleash their most potent power of being a dreadful drama queen. The gals will find out and learn to twirl the guy with their immense beta-rization skills. I have found no survivors in these battles. But, truth be told, the guy will feel absolutely worth their while in the relationship (like the first five years of the storyteller's marriage). Funny shit!

I guess Buddha had gotten it right - the best way is always the Middle Way. In metta ...

p.A Joke in Emigration

One of greatest jokes I received in my years of emigration is I find it funny that most immigrants like to hunt each other.

When I first landed, I was offered great food and drinks in restaurants by "fellow" ex-countrymen. After a few rounds, I was popped the most important question - how am I going to spend my investment monies; such as buying house, insurance and work contracts. Of course, I told them I have not a single cent in my knapsack, otherwise I wouldn't need to emigrate in the first place.

Many !@!$@%$#%^$^&%$^%&*^ curses later, they finally realized that I am one hard cookie to crack. They gave up and moved away from me. Suddenly, I am left all alone. So lonely that a fly from 10 metres away I could hear it. A sad sight for a good 1 year. During this time, I was fully unemployed. I refused to be employed. I refused to join the crowd. I stayed hungry, very hungry and very, very hungry. I need to know how much more hungry I can get to see that light.

You see, as one gets very hungry (the hungrier, the sight more lucid), the window of opportunity will come. It will come in a very silent way. No pride, no falsehood, no show-offs, no penny to spare, no way to get back to that little island, that's when every one around you will come to "pity" you. You are like a hungry little puppy, eager to please, eager to perform tricks for a penny, fetch slippers for a dime. Seeing you in such poor state, they will spare their little pennies to help you get along, otherwise, they wouldn't be able to exact their own original pain on the new fellow. These clever older immigrants knew that even the most excruciating punishment needs an occasional reprieve. That's why there are so many clan associations around the nicest parts of downtown. They are there for a reason, i.e., to sponge off new immigrants.

These previous immigrants were so clueless, poor and "unqualified" (their former education made useless by government policies) that they couldn't find a single suitable well-paying job to help them tie through their current haplessness that they have no choice but to prey on their fellow new and easier blur-kings coming through the channel. They can't be wise enough to sponge off the whites as they were perceived to "lord-over" all of us, the yellows.

These previous immigrants are usually left with no choice but to hunt the weak newer immigrants. That contributed one of the highest form of repatriation back to that little island. When these failed new immigrants conned and returned to that little island, they were usually made fun of and laughed off as useless quitters.

It is so interesting that none of the old and new immigrants understand that the best formation for a minority race must be one of cooperation and support and none of painful self-infliction.

You see to prey on the fellow immigrants is only one time and usually they are also not rich, else they wouldn't have emigrated in the first place (this is a true answer). Once filled with this lean meat, very soon you have to hunt again for the next prey.

Hence, why don't you cooperate and fight to win in the market place? Once successful, you and your clan get to feed forever.

But, not many understand this fundamental approach.

When I explained this concept to them, not all are teachable. For those who believed, I received free food and drinks.

They know that it is only a matter of time that the cooperation will fruit. They wouldn't want to be left out just because their names are on my possible black list.

The choice is yours and yours to make. I don't have a black list and I really don't give a damn.

b.Philosophy of Life

Too many times I walked life blindly without an understanding what life ensues.

It was lucky that I had stopped to ponder what life means.

Many things happened on that little island that brain-washed me into missing my first half of my life.  Fortunately, I survived that and I am now in fuller control of my life.

I now pursue only my life-long interest and dream - to build a business empire that I am proud to display to myself. I have finally found my calling - business building. I have done many things in my life, but none can beat the feeling of creating things from nothing. When that happens, the rush is beautiful. To see a business grow from a baby to a fledgling and to something that delivers value to customers is absolutely pleasing.

When that happened to one business, I realized that I can repeat it again to another business type and so on and so forth. Soon I am surrounded by very good business types.

The happiness is indescribable.

The last 3 days I spent it with my business partner on a long trip north after a long lapse. We talked incessantly and earnestly. The discussion was extremely philosophical and as usual, new ideas were formed and agreed for execution. I have said before, business discussions now are more strategic than menial in nature.

As long as integrity is upheld and the limiting parameters described in full, the support for new directions is never a question.

If one is honest and full of integrity, one need not fear the unknown. Search our deepest feelings, we will find the path leading to richness of life.

Leave if you must, to seek your dream. I will look you up when you are ready.
